and here's the second in that series. forgive the recurring subjects...
Title: Last Best Hope, Part Two

Summary: Drabble. sisko made another trip to the mirror universe between Through The Looking glass and Shattered Mirror, while the Alliance still controlled Tarok Nor.
“So you’re… their emissary?” It’s the next in a string of questions quietly asked, the next in a day confirming my rebellion and curiosity and the fact that their Bajor sounds infinitely more appealing than mine.
Before he can finish nodding something shifts and the near door opens onto a Cardassian, his reality’s tailor, my reality’s enforcer and I sprawl as two weapons are drawn. Garak’s been listening.
The first blast courses fire down my side and the second sends Garak tumbling. I can only think one thing as Sisko kneels. Last best hope, Lara. I have to say it.
